Gut, reden wir über Politik.
Meine grosse Hoffnung heisst derzeit USA.
Richtig schreibt heute die New York Times in Ihrem Leitartikel:
Save the planet and the economy:
From Paris to Beijing, the refrain is the same: This is no time to pursue ambitious plans to stop global warming. We can’t deal with a financial crisis and reduce emissions at the same time.
There is a very different message coming from this country. President-elect Barack Obama is arguing that there is no better time than the present to invest heavily in clean energy technologies. Such investment, he says, would confront the threat of unchecked warming, reduce the country’s dependence on foreign oil and help revive the American economy.
Call it what you will: a climate policy wrapped inside an energy policy wrapped inside an economic policy.
Mein Tip:
Obamas inauguration speech wird fast ähnlich wie Kennedys "dream" (We fly to the moon) der grossen Energiewende ganz wichtige Bedeutung zumessen.
Denn er hat`s begriffen, wie zentral das ist, und (siehe oben im Leitartikel) ein zentrales Umrüstungs-und Beschäftigungsprogramm für die US Wirtschaft ist.
Europa (und besonders) Österreich ist umwelt-und energietechnologisch den Amerikanern noch weit voraus.
Nicht wegen, sondern trotz Politik.
Liest man vor diesem Hintergrung genauer das Regierungsprogramm, dann pandelt die Emotion zwischn ungläubigem Kopfschütteln und Enttäuschung.
Sie habens eben nicht kapiert und/oder wollen einfach nicht.
Was tröstlich ist:
Wenn die USA wirklich einsteigt, dann dreht sich global wirklich etwas.
Warten wir also gespannt auf den 20.1.
